PREREQUISITE: ENG101This course introduces the student to the major perspectives, concerns, controversies, and debates that characterize the contemporary study of crime, criminals, and criminal behavior. It examines these problems by drawing upon other disciplines such as sociology, psychology, political science, anthropology, philosophy, medicine, and biology i.e. to provide an integrated approach to understanding the problem of crime in contemporary society and to advance solutions to the crime quagmire.
