Description
This course introduces reading, writing, and research skills necessary for college-level coursework. It will focus on improving reading comprehension, emphasizing effective research methods, and developing vocabulary and grammar in both oral and written work. It will also review sentence writing skills, paragraph writing, and organized essay development using a multi-stage writing process including prewriting and revision. Students will learn to communicate their own ideas by strengthening critical reading, writing, and thinking skills and combining information from multiple sources.
