Prerequisite: Placement test, or ENG 098 This course focuses on paragraph development and organization. It includes types of paragraphs, idea development, coherence, and effective transition. It introduces essay writing and is designed for the student who has college-level reading ability but is not yet ready for the rigor of ENG 101. The course helps to prepare students for English Composition I. This course does not satisfy any degree requirements.
