Description
Prerequisites: NUR 120-Pharmacology 2 "C" or Better, NUR 200-Medical-Surgical Nursing "C" or Better, NUR 201- Bio-Behavioral Health Across the Lifespan C" or Better and SCI 204-Microbiology.
Corequisites for Practical Nursing Certificate: NUR 230-Pharmacology 3 and PNC 202-Maternity Child Health.
.This course examines current legal responsibilities and accountability of the Licensed Practical Nurse. The student will design an evidence-based practice (EBP) project that assists individuals, families, groups, or the community meet basic human needs and promote quality of life within the student’s clinical setting. Students prepare for entry into the health care delivery system. Emphasis is placed on developing initiative, skills and responsibilities needed for the Licensed Practical Nurse.
