PREREQUISITE: ENG 101Life span development is the term used to describe the biological, cognitive, social, and psychological changes that take place as humans grow from the prenatal stage through birth, infancy, childhood, adolescence, and adulthood and move toward death. Students enrolled in this course will explore both the historical views and contemporary approaches to life span development as they trace human growth from a single-celled organism to the complex interaction of elements that shape adult behavior.
