PREREQUISITE: ENG 101This course introduces students to macro-economic theory, with an emphasis on the concepts of unemployment, inflation, and growth in capitalist and non-capitalist economic systems. Students will explore the "boom and bust" cycle from both Keynesian and Marxist points of view, and will briefly examine the issues of underdevelopment and international trade from the neoclassical and Marxist points of view. This course fulfills the social science requirement.
