Integrated language Skills is designed to build students reading, writing, language, literature and related study skills while familiarizing students with Northeastern University. The course strives to improve reading, writing through literature and related studies and language skills by emphasizing reading and writing skills such as vocabulary, comprehension, interpretation, and critical thinking, as well as study skills such as recalling information, previewing, finding main ideas and supporting details, outlining, annotation, summarizing, classifying information, and locating signal words. The course also focuses on strengthening study habits, time management, memory and listening techniques, note-taking and exam-taking strategies. In addition, we will examine the correlation between reading and writing within the course and across the disciplines by applying these skills to practical situations such a
