Course Modalities

Online = A fully online course without set meeting times

Online courses are completed fully online, without in-person meetings. You can complete the work at a pace that best suits your schedule, but you must submit assignments and exams by set deadlines.

Hybrid = A course with scheduled face-to-face meeting times and an online component

Hybrid courses are completed on-campus with designated meeting days and times, with the remainder of the assignments completed online.

Virtual = A fully online course with scheduled meeting times

Virtual courses are completed online but have set meeting times.  You are required to log in and participate in course meetings via web-based communication (Microsoft Teams or Zoom) at the scheduled days/times.  



RefWorks for Faculty

Staff, faculty, and students are encouraged to register for approved Roxbury Community College emergency communications, RAVE. The college will communicate emergency and other important information via text message and email with all registered individuals. Rave does not charge subscribers to send or receive SMS messages. Standard or other messaging charges apply depending upon your wireless carrier plan and subscription details. Once registered, you can opt-out of SMS messages at any time by texting STOP to 67283 or 226787.

Online courses at RCC use MyRCC as the Learning Management System [LMS]. MyRCC can run on any browser as long as it is up to date, it is compatible with smartphones. This is the landing page for MyRCC. 
  • Log in with your student account with the credentials provided by IT.                            
  • "My Courses" is under the Quick Links menu. It is a dropdown list of your courses for each semester.

  • Select one of your courses to access course content; From there, follow the course instructions as detailed by your instructor.
  • Contact IT if you need assistance with MyRCC username and password at or call 857-701-1555.
