Description

This course is designed to support students taking the Phlebotomy Bridge portion by strengthening their English language skills. It focuses on language access and exam literacy, enabling students to accurately interpret written exam questions and documents in academic and clinical settings. It emphasizes reading comprehension, analysis of exam question structures, and controlled workplace writing. It is linked with the CSA 557 Phlebotomy Bridge Course.

Additional: Externship (120 hours - full time schedule) Required!
Prerequisites
• To be an English Language Learner placed into ESOL level 5 or above on the Community ESOL Assessment.
• To Complete Medical forms with the Primary Care Provider.
o Immunization Form (within 6 months).
o Physical Exam Form (within 12 months).
• To obtain High school diploma or GED/HiSET certificate.
• To have the US Work authorization
